Buffalo Wild Wings is launching a test program, as reported by Computerworld, that would have an iPad available at each table for customers to order their food and browse the Internet and use the device while dining. This is only being tested at a Buffalo Wild Wings in Toronto, Canada at the moment and later will be expanded to Minneapolis in the US.
I think this idea is great. Customers will be given the opportunity to use the iPad, including those people who are new to the experience. I feel this innovation will take some time to make it to restaurants across the country, but if the tests go well I think we are headed to a future where technology as the iPad is used for things as ordering at your favorite restaurant.
