According to AllThingsD, the iPad 3 will be announced during the first week of March at an Apple event that is likely to be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, CA. The rumor claims that this event would be much like the past events for the iPad, with a release following the announcement in approximately a week.
The iPad 3 is said to have a higher resolution screen, improved cameras, better battery, and a faster processor than the current iPad 2. Over the past few days, parts for the supposed iPad 3 have been showing up in inventories and pictures have surfaced online, adding support to the upcoming announcement.
Though many of the described features of the iPad 3 seem nice, I don’t see this update as much of a reason for an iPad 2 owner to buy the new model. I feel that the iPad 3 will be targeted at new adopters or those that have been holding out on buying an iPad from the beginning.
The iPad has seen consistent sales since its creation and no doubt, this new version will probably keep the Apple iPad standard and keep consumers pleased.
