Heard of the social networking app Path?

Path is a mobile app for iOS and Android that takes a different approach to social networking.  While it is it’s own social network, it makes it possible to let you share what you’re doing, listening to, or where you are on other social networks as well.  There’s nothing better than being able to share what you’re doing via one app and have it shared to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Foursquare all at once.

The app itself is visually pleasing; it gives the user a space for a cover photo and then lists all updates from others on the network in a list that flows smoothly and includes the date and time of when it was posted.

Just like other social networks, the app allows you to comment on others’ posts and also put a specific smiley as a response, as to whether you like, love, or hate their post.Image

I think Path is on the right track with their application and I use it quite often to update all my networks at once.  I feel that if more smartphone users become aware of it’s functionality and visuals, it has the potential to become a huge social network.

You can try it out for yourself by downloading it from the App Store or Android Market here.
